MG Zeta Plus Part 4

High part count is but a number

Moving on to the last few components of MG Zeta Plus already after the previous posting. ^^

Plenty of parts for the body and waist, but the panel line work required is simpler than how you would initially imagine it to be. ^^

The few parts that required extra effort in panel lining, which are still very easy to handle anyway. ^^

The large back plate has limited line details, which also means minimal work. ^^

A old-school trick to eliminate the appearance of those connector pins on the frame part with a different color: just paint them with a color similar to that of the frame part. ^^ In this case, gray using Gundam Marker.

Test fitting the painted parts to see how the components would turn out when assembled.
While the painted color isn't exactly the same as that of the frame part, the connector pins are no longer that obvious when assembled.

From the same work on MG Zeta Gundam Ver. 2.0, the interior of the cockpit hatch is painted gray using Gundam Marker.

Panel lines added to the part when the paint has dried.

The interior of the cockpit is painted silver using Pilot Super Color Silver Extra Fine to simulate the 360-degree panoramic monitor.

Much like the shoulder plates, ankle and heel guards painted in Part 1, the silver paint work done on the interior of the cockpit doesn't affect the exterior at all. ^^

Test fitting the painted parts to see how the components would turn out when assembled.
The silver interior can only be seen when light is shone upon it. ^^;

With panel lines added to the two cockpit parts.

The pilot figure's paint work shouldn't be too complicated I think, as the entire suit is yellow with very little details.

Painted the entire figure yellow using Gundam Marker.

Panel lines are added when the paint has dried.

Painted the forehead area gray using Gundam Marker as well. The visor is painted metallic green using normal pen.

Just panel lining for the Linear Seat.

Done for the pilot figure and his seat.
By the way, the pilot is Amuro Ray actually. ^^

Simple panel lining for the head parts.

(Left) The vent area of the cheek parts is painted black using normal marker.
(Right) Panel lines applied to the option non-transformable V-Fin set.

I didn't bother painting the standing figure actually because I thought the design was a bit too generic to catch my interest. ^^; Anyway, the work on this MG kit is done. ^^ Just four postings including the introduction is shorter than 1/100 Gundam Astraea really. ^^ Is it really the simplicity of this MG kit at play here? Or did I just GTA through the whole thing because of a slightly less tense work schedule I'm having right now? ^^ I'm not very sure about that, but I'm happy that I have this much of leisure time anyway.

As usual, there'll be a bit of offset time between now and when I revisit all the parts again for the final assembly. ^^
