Banpresto's Perfect Transformation Strike Valkyrie VF-1S Roy Focker's Unit Part 4

No consideration for display stand
A look at the third mode of Banpresto's Perfect Transformation Strike Valkyrie VF-1S Roy Focker's Unit after the previous posting. ^^

From the second Gerwalk mode shown in the previous posting, the transformation design to fighter mode is mighty simple. ^^



The legs are folded to the back to form the main thrusters. A peg beneath the base of each wing can be tabbed into a corresponding slot behind the knee to secure the connection.


The front and rear feet parts are retracted to form the thruster nozzles.


The backpack is folded to the back for 180 degrees.


The vertical stabilizers are flipped upward and adjusted to an angled position.



Gerwalk → fighter transformation is complete. ^^

The fighter mode is my favorite design out of the three forms this figure is capable of transforming into. ^^ The proportion is very loyal to the mecha design, and it looks realistic as a fighter jet despite the figure's size and ability to transform. The length of the nose cone, fuselage, thrusters, stabilizer fins, the wingspan and other visual elements of the fighter mode are just right to it a great look in my opinion. ^^ The body is also thin enough to strike a nice balance between the fighter mode's realistic look and its transformation capability. ^^ To me, the proportion design of this prize item is better as compared to another smaller-sized transformable VF-1S - Revoltech Yamaguchi No. 82 Triple Mode Transformation version from Kaiyodo, but it's not as expensive at the VF Hi-Metal version from Tamashii Nations as the same time.

It's just a very nice-looking fighter mode in my opinion. ^^

Also, since all the components are tucked in neatly, the fighter mode is also the most secured form out of the three when it comes to the connection between the components. ^^ I suppose that benefit can be counted as one of the reasons I like it as well. ^^

On the other hand, I just realized how difficult it is to show the figure off using one display stand. ^^; As you can see from the images above, two display stands were used to support it. For such a small figure, one display stand is definitely enough, but there's no suitable part for the clip to grasp onto. ^^; The gun pod is too weak to be used as a connection point, and the two thrusters are just too wide for any of the clips of Soul Stage Act 3 Action Support Clear Type to work on them, unfortunately. Giving up on finding the right spot for a single display stand to do the job, I used two instead. ^^;
