BB Senshi Sangokuden Asurao Moukaku Gundam, Syukuyuu Gundam, Kyoshin Elephant Set Part 10

Star Bright Gold strikes again

Completing Moukaku Gundam from BB Senshi Sangokuden Asurao Moukaku Gundam, Syukuyuu Gundam and Kyoshin Elephant Set after the completion of its plain form in the previous posting. ^^

Moukaku Gundam with all his extra armor parts.

A large piece of foil sticker for the forehead sensor.

Five components to add on to Moukaku Gundam: two for the helmet, the backpack itself and another two to form the gauntlet.

More images of the completely armored version of Moukaku Gundam: ^^

Closeups on the details:

The shiny effect of Gaia Metallic Color No. 122 Star Bright Gold on the V-fins and gauntlets painted in Part 2 make the three parts stand out a lot on the completed kit. ^^ The effect can be seen on the neck area, chest and skirt armors of Moukaku Gundam since the previous posting, but it's definitely a lot clearer on the three aforementioned components. The humongous V-fins also helps to emphasize the outcome of the paint work. Considering that it's a single-piece part, the size of the V-fins becomes even more impressive. ^^

The wings on the backpack are important design elements that reflect Moukaku Gundam's unique character background. It's certainly good to see the nice outcome of painting those "eyes" using Mr. Color No. 175 Fluorescent Green Flat back in Part 8. ^^

The wings have a few display options:

Using the default pair of straight pegs connecting them onto the backpack, the wings can be hinged upward/downward.

Right next to the default pegs is another pair that face either opposite side of the backpack.

The wings can be tabbed onto the alternate pegs in upward/downward-facing positions. Just like the first configuration shown above, the wings can be hinged vertically in both positions.

A few action poses from Moukaku Gundam:

Not exactly clear due to the joints' limitation, ^^; but the pose above shows Moukaku Gundam executing his finishing move called Shinken Bakusai (神拳爆砕) using his gauntlets, Ragouzou (羅喉爪).

Comparison with Tenshouryu Koumei Nu Gundam, another BB Senshi Sangokuden kit in my collection with a huge V-fin. ^^

Tenshouryu Koumei Nu Gundam is very closely linked to Moukaku Gundam in the story as well.

Tenshouryu Koumei Nu Gundam's dragon head V-fin is taller, while Moukaku Gundam's is a lot wide. ^^

Minus the clear green eyes, Tenshouryu Koumei Nu Gundam's V-fins are also molded from a single-piece part - most of the kits in this Gunpla line are anyway. Along with many other elements, the design of having one-piece part for the V-fins no matter how large the parts are on the actual models, as seen on these two kits always fascinates me about the BB Senshi Sangokuden line. ^^

Kongouyaka will be up next as the kit from this Gunpla kit to be assembled, but not so soon. ^^
