From the most epic anime series of all time, "Queen's Blade" (XD), this is the Nendoroid action figure version of Cattleya, the blacksmith and arms dealer. ^^ Unlike most other series, the Queen's Blade line is produced by FREEing, and not Good Smile Company. Then again, I don't see any noticeable difference between the releases by the two companies in this product series. ^^ On a separate note, just like the Queen's Blade lineup from Kaiyodo's Revoltech series, every "Queen's Blade" character in Nendoroid form has a "Player 2" (2P) color variant. Besides changes in costume and hair colors, the 2P version comes with battle-damage costume, and corresponding option face part. ^^ The design is somewhat similar to the "M mode" that can be found on Kaiyodo's Revoltech releases. ^^ For the 2P color variants, their product numbers are appended with the letter "b", so you would probably know what that letter "a" behind Cattleya's product number means now. ^^ This is obviously true with Nendoroid Alleyne reviewed last year, with her product number being 176a.

As you may notice in the first image, Nendoroid Cattleya comes with her son, Rana, who is a Nendoroid Petit-class figure in this set. Honestly speaking, I would prefer more accessories, and option parts for the main figure, Cattleya, at the expense of Rana. Her Revoltech Queen's Blade version didn't bother putting in the kid as part of the package anyway, and I don't miss him at all. XD Then again, since all the other Nendoroid Queen's Blade releases are short of accessories, and option parts, the inclusion of an extra figure does give a more deluxe feel to this Nendoroid set. ^^ Plus, having a mini figure of her son to compliment Cattleya's display does help to portray her characteristics better, so I suppose I shouldn't be complaining about the kid in this Nendoroid set. ^^

Speaking of which, Cattleya's promo tagline on her official product page is "Dutiful wife, and devoted mother who always keeps her family in mind" (家族思いの良妻賢母), which is most certainly true about her portrayal in the story. However, another important feature about her, which isn't mentioned in the product introduction but is realized pretty well on this Nendoroid figurine, is her amazing bust. ^o^ It's definitely more impressive than her giant sword, "Giant Slayer".

Oh wait, hold on, I bought this figure for the liking of Cattleya's meganekko image, just like how I watched "Queen's Blade" for its great story only. You can trust me on that. XD

Straight-out-of-box Nendoroid Cattleya.
Still with tons of plastic wrappers attached, the figure won't be able to stand at all without the display base support. ^^;

Three parts for Cattleya's standard Nendoroid display base, and two for Rana's Nendoroid Petit-type display base.

Copyright information printed on the display base.

Simple assembly to complete the two display bases.

Supported using the display base, Cattleya can now be shown in a standing pose. ^^

An introduction of Cattleya's accessories, and option parts coming up next in the next posting. ^^
