SRW OG 1/144 ART-1 Part 2

Is there anything that doesn't need to be painted?

Counting all the parts that need to be painted and detailed for SRW OG 1/144 ART-1 after the introduction in the previous posting. ^^

Colors needed for the helmet parts: dark blue, white, and yellow.

One tiny bar on each side of the helmet is going to be quite a challenge to paint. ^^

All the paint work on the Personal Trooper mode parts would need to be repeated on their ART-Wing mode counterparts. ^^;

White paint work needed for various parts of the arms.

Referring to the instruction manual to identify the exact areas on the arms to be painted white.

Colors needed for the shoulder armor parts: dark blue, and white.

Although there are two patches on the lower front section of the shoulder armor parts came pre-painted in white, a tiny stripe in between the upper sections still need to be painted.

While not shown on the box art image, the upper rear section of the shoulder armor parts should be in white, this need to be painted.

White paint needed for the edges of the wings and tail fins.

One tiny tab on each face of the wings' sidebars needs to be painted yellow.

White and dark blue required for the wings' base parts.

Referring to the instruction manual to identify the colors and exact areas on the wings to be painted.

Even though the bars to be painted white on the wings' base parts can be identified well enough via the molded line details, there's no line whatsoever that shows the split between the middle part and the lower section that needs to be painted dark blue it seems. ^^;

(Left) The aforementioned required lines are added using knife and double-sided tape (see this previous posting for the details).
(Right) Panel lines are added to the parts so that the different sections that require paint work can be seen more easily.

Dark blue needed for the edges of the shield's fins.

Top section of Boosted Rifle H to be painted light gray.

The blade parts of Cold Metal Knives and Chainsaw Tonfas to be painted silver.

The joint arms and handles of Chainsaw Tonfas to be painted dark gray.

Referring to the instruction manual on the paints required by Cold Metal Knives and Chainsaw Tonfas.

Much like the shoulder armor parts mentioned above, even though sections of the front skirt armor part came pre-painted in white as they are designated so, the part still lacks dark blue and yellow on a few other areas.

Slits on the rear skirt armor part that need to be painted yellow.

While the interior of the rear skirt armor is not shown anywhere in the manual, but I think the shape of the tabs dictates that they should be painted yellow like those on the shoulder armors, and the flat sunken areas should be in gray. ^^

Tiny angled bar on either side of the protruding waist armor requires dark blue paint.

Like the wing bases, the line separators for the blue bars weren't clearly molded, so they are added using pen knife before the part can be painted.

Dark blue paint needed for the top section of the chest armor.

Fins inside the shoulder vents and their ART-Wing mode counterparts, as well as tiny tabs on the abdomen area need to be painted yellow.

Referring to the instruction manual to identify the exact areas on the body parts to be painted.

Colors needed for various sections of the leg parts: dark blue, yellow, and gray.

White paint added to many of the selected parts listed above.
The paint used is actually White Surfacer from Mr. Hobby.

Closeups on the painted parts.

Other colors will be added to the parts that require them as identified earlier on in the next posting. ^^
