SRW OG 1/144 ART-1 Part 5

Black for depth

Making good progress on the work for SRW OG 1/144 ART-1, with only the torso, head, and weapons remaining after the previous posting. ^^

The interior of the chest vents is painted black using normal panel lining to emulate depth. ^^

Simple panel lining for the rest of the body parts.

A large, flat section under the back plate (I've no idea what it's for ^^;) is also painted black, using normal marker to highlight its appearance. ^^

Test fitting the detailed parts to see how the body would turn out when assembled. ^^

(Left) Tamiya's Panel Line Accent Color (Black) is used to ease the panel lining work needed for the narrow slits and hard-to-reach corners on the ART-Wing mode's replacement parts for the body unit.
(Right) With excessive panel liner solution rubbed away using cotton swab soaked with enamel thinner, and with additional line details added the usual way. ^^

Instead of trying to scratch off all the spilled yellow paint inside the shoulder vents using a knife, the excessive paint is simply covered up by painting black over the affected areas using a normal panel liner. ^^

The paint result on either side of the protruding waist armor from Part 3. ^^

Simple panel lining to touch up the final detailing on the front skirt armor part. ^^

Test fitting the detailed parts to see how the front skirt would turn out when assembled. ^^

(Left) Excessive yellow paint around the slits on the rear skirt armor part is swiped away using cotton swab soaked with thinner.
(Right) The interior of the thruster is painted black using normal marker.

Done with the detailing work above, parts for the head and weapons are the only ones remaining before the entire work is complete. ^^
