Transformers: Prime Deluxe Class Arcee Part 5

Keeping the "First Edition" tradition alive

A look at the articulation design of "Transformers: Prime" "First Edition" Deluxe Class Arcee after the previous posting. ^^

The ball-type neck joint allows the head to be adjusted to all directions very flexibly.

The neck itself is connected to the body via a separate hinge joint, which provides a wider range of vertical tilt to the head.

Limited by the shoulder armor, the arm's range of upward bend from the side of the body is poor. ^^;

Forward and backward swings can be adjusted very easily.

There's an opening beneath the shoulder that accommodates the peg when the shoulder is flipped to the back.

Like this. ^^
It's definitely a flexible articulation point for either arm, but I'm not exactly sure why it's been included in the first place.

As shown in Part 3, the shoulder armors/wings can be lifted/lowered for a limited degree.

The upper arm can be swivelled around on the shoulder joint.

180-degree elbow bend.

Hinge wrist joints allow the hands to be folded inward/outward for 90 degrees.

The waist swivel is an articulation joint inherited from the figure's transformation design.
As a matter of fact, Voyager Class Optimus Prime and Starscream from the same "First Edition" series have waist swivel inherited from their respective transformation design as well. ^^

Another articulation point from her transformation design: the tail can be lifted for 90 degrees.

Double hinge joint design for the hips.

180-degree sideways and forward/backward bends to show off the hip joints' flexibility. ^^

A nice bonus for the hips' articulation: separated thigh swivel is implemented. ^^

Standard articulation range for the knee I would say.
The knee joint itself is capable of a wider bend actually, since it allows the thighs to collapse into the back of the legs in motorcycle mode, but as you can see from the images above, the protruding wheel half restrict the knee bend to stop at this "regular" range.

No articulation for the ankle or foot.

Despite having no movable points in her ankles and feet, the flexible hip joints (especially) and knees allow Arcee to be displayed in a very natural-looking kneeling pose. ^^

The tail which can be adjusted out of the way is helpful in supporting this kneeling pose as well. ^^

Some action poses from Arcee to demonstrate her articulation design. ^^

Supported using Soul Stage Act 5 Action Support Type for Mechanics Clear Ver.

A look at the articulation design of the Robots in Disguise version of Arcee next. ^^
